Let’s work together.
I’m currently open to new work and would love to speak with you about your projects and ideas. I provide services as a cultural programmer, events producer, as a chair-person and live event host, as well as facilitating writing workshops. For more information on each, please see below.
What I do:
Cultural programming & event production
Whether you’re looking for a fresh perspective or building an entirely new events programme, for a large or small-scale organisation, I’d love to be involved. To see my previous work in programming and events producing, have a look at some of my past projects at Bradford Literature Festival, Push the Boat Out, the National Library of Scotland, and the Scottish Poetry Library. Enquiries from both festivals and year-round projects across the arts, culture, and heritage sectors are very much welcome.
Chairing & hosting live events
As an experienced chair-person and event host, I’ve worked with organisations such as the Edinburgh International Book Festival, Wigtown Book Festival, the Scottish Book Trust, and many more. I’ve interviewed writers and poets like Nadine Aisha Jassat, Martin MacInnes, Tishani Doshi, Camilla Grudova, John Bunside, Nick Laird, Andrés N. Ordorica, Charly Cox, Sean O’Brien, Rachelle Atalla, Anthony Anaxagorou, Gerda Stevenson, and many more. Chairing author interviews and hosting live events is a true joy and is one of my favourite ways to bring audiences and culture together.
Other work and commissions
My work across the cultural sector and events is wide and varied, and I’m always happy to hear about projects that you feel could be of interest.
If you’d like to discuss your projects, get in touch with me via my contact form.
Facilitating workshops
As a fiction writer I have hosted writing workshops for the National Library of Scotland, the Fire Starter Festival, and the Scottish Poetry Library. I’ve also hosted more practical workshops, such as a performance workshop for the John Byrne Award and a chairing workshop for Wigtown Book Festival. I have a versatile approach to workshops and am consistently inspired by the writers I work with. So, whether you’re looking for a workshop on surrealist fiction, finding power in your writing, or simply learning to create a story, do get in touch.
